Rabat - INNOVX launched ParkX yesterday, its latest subsidiary dedicated to the planning, development, and management of sustainable and innovative industrial parks.
A subsidiary of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), INNOVX is a versatile business builder dedicated to tackling global sustainability issues and promoting environmentally friendly technological advancements in Morocco.
INNOVX serves as an investor, technology incubator, and business developer, merging venture capital and business development to create, heighten, and cultivate innovative and high-performing tech companies and ecosystems.
Its focus spans key areas critical to food security, energy transition, and digital transformation, including agriculture, energy, chemicals, social innovation, and digital technology.
The launch of ParkX supports INNOVX’s strategic looks to bolster its industrial ecosystem through the development of high-quality infrastructure and the promotion of sustainable business models. It also aligns with Morocco’s eco-friendly vision as the country is further asserting itself as a key player in the renewable energy sector.
This subsidiary will provide fully equipped, ready-to-operate industrial sites with top-notch facilities designed to cater to the needs of innovative and sustainable industries, INNOVX explained in a statement. ParkX looks to cultivate competitive, innovation-driven ecosystems that encourage decarbonization and collaboration among businesses within its industrial parks, it added.
Two initial projects for ParkX are already underway: one in Jorf Lasfar, targeted at advanced industries, particularly in the chemical sector, and another in Benguerir, focusing on high-tech, high-value manufacturing that incorporates advanced technologies in renewable energy and agritech.
“The future of industry lies in sustainability and innovation, and that’s exactly what we are committed to delivering at ParkX. Our goal is to create tailored solutions that meet these evolving needs, establishing environments that support the growth of industrial ecosystems and enhance their energy efficiency,” explained Othman El Yaalaoui, Vice President of Ecosystems & Business Development at INNOVX.
The ParkX project prioritizes sustainability by incorporating circular economy principles and green technology within its industrial parks. Its goal is to bolster resource efficiency, aid decarbonization efforts, and improve energy performance across facilities through the use of renewable energy and effective waste management practices.
By launching ParkX, INNOVX hopes to strengthen its dedication to fostering the growth of specialized industrial parks that generate long-term value for businesses and the surrounding communities.
Other businesses under INNOVX include Tourba, Ardinov, Nutribiotek, Mera Batteries, and HydroJeel, among others.
